LEGAL CASE REVIEW
TIME: 8:30am-10:30am (8:00am Check In & Light Breakfast)
Attorney Kevin Luther will give break out groups a statement of facts that mirror recent significant cases on various employment law topics. Each group will have a spokesperson outline their group's conclusions and reasoning. He will then explain what they decided in the courtroom and their reasoning behind the decisions.
This process will help HR professionals develop the skills they need to be a valuable business partner within their organizations so they can avoid potential legal issues.

Kevin Luther, Attorney at Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C.
Kevin concentrates his practice in the areas of workers’ compensation, employment and labor law, and employer liability. He supervises the Workers’ Compensation and Employment & Labor Practices in the firm’s Rockford and Chicago offices. He is a past chair of the firm’s statewide Workers’ Compensation Practice.
Jordan Emmert, Associate at Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C.
Jordan focuses his practice on civil litigation in both federal and state courts in the areas of civil rights/Section 1983 litigation, commercial litigation, and representing employers in employment law and workers’ compensation matters.
