    Speaker Summary:
Finding our “Best Self” Outside of Roles and Labels
We often find ourselves defined by the various roles and responsibilities in our lives, whether as an employee, parent, sibling, partner or other label. Defining ourselves by these roles without fulfillment or an internal sense of purpose can result in multiple workplace consequences, including burnout, mental health issues, reduced work efficiency and high turnover rates. Clinical Psychologist Dr. Jason Soriano will share research-validated clinical strategies designed to help participants build resilience, find balance and reduce negative workplace outcomes.

    About the Speaker:
Dr. Jason Soriano is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the field of psychology for over ten years. He specializes in psychological assessment and trauma-based therapy and recently opened his own group practice, Lighthouse Counseling of Rockford. He is a frequent presenter and speaker at various conferences throughout the Midwest and actively works with medical residents to combat burnout and improve the doctor-patient relationship. He hopes to one day create a doctoral-level training program to provide low-cost therapy and testing to the Rockford area.
