    Erin has been on the board since October 2007. She has been a National SHRM member since 2005 and a Rockford SHRM member since 2007. Erin joined SHRM leadership because Kim Maxwell and Dawn De Los Santos were so passionate about Rockford Area SHRM, and it was contagious. Erin respects both of them, and saw SHRM Leadership as a tremendous opportunity to increase her HR Body of Knowledge. She also loves event planning and challenging her creativity…both of which are things she is able to utilize with SHRM! Erin feels being able to volunteer for an organization that adds value to so many people’s lives both directly and indirectly is priceless! She loves to have ownership in specific areas of SHRM, and enjoys that she is able to network with so many wonderful people that are a part of National SHRM, Rockford Area SHRM, and most specifically the Board that is currently in place. Erin feels she would never have experienced the professional development that she has in the last couple years without the other dedicated volunteers such as: Education, Annual Conference, Workforce Readiness, Community Outreach, etc. Each volunteer has added tremendous value to the chapter through giving of their time. There is a place for everyone on the Board of Rockford Area SHRM, and some of the friends she has made through SHRM will be her friends for life! Now….how many people can say that about a volunteer position?

    Erin has six years of experience working in HR and in her current role with Aerotek she is responsible for managing and developing the recruiters on her team, while building relationships and growing the Aerotek business in the Rockford Area. Erin graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing, and Minors in both Communications and Music. She also attended Roosevelt University and achieved her MBA with a concentration in Training and Development. Erin is also PHR certified. In her personal time, Erin’s favorite thing to do…she knows this sounds crazy…is to organize and clean. She loves it! Erin also really enjoys scrapbooking, card making, jewelry making, etc. A little-known fact: She has webbed toes (and is an excellent swimmer)!
