    Following is the agenda:

    • 7:15 - 7:55     Registration/Continental Breakfast
    • 7:55 - 8:00     Welcome – Cara Freund, Rockford SHRM President
    • 8:00 - 9:30

The Results-Only Work Environment - Christina Kamer, HR Capital Management Consultants & Greg Watt, WATT Global Media

Learn how a 100-year old family-owned publishing company transformed to a media company by redesigning its systems, investing in technology, retraining experienced staff, recruited new talent to meet evolving client expectations. Learn how this redesign led to successful business results and employee commitment.

WATT Global Media accelerated their business results by adopting a Results-Only-Work Environment (ROWE). By designing a strong foundation of employee autonomy and accountability this 100-year-old company continues to attract and retain talent in the ever-changing digital era.

    • 9:50 - 11:20

Cultivate Civility - Daniel Sommer, LCSW, Glenwood Center and member of 815 Choose Civility of Transform Rockford

The Cultivate Civility presentation focuses on inspiring effective interpersonal relationships by developing changes in perspective rather than behavior. A natural connection develops when two individuals engage with each other from a perspective of commonality. From genuine connection arises more effective collaboration and confidence both in self & relationship. It is hypothesized that cultivating Civility in the workforce will improve employee retention, decrease frequency of conflict, increase productivity, and, ultimately, improve well-being within the company culture.

    •  11:40 - 1:10

An Invitation to Courage – Envisioning the world as it could be both individually and corporately – Stosh Walsh, Constant Organizational Development

Most people and organizations see the world as it is and react. This impactful
presentation redefines courage as an invitation to envision the world as it could
be, then create it both individually and organizationally by amplifying (being more
of who we are), investing (offering our best) and serving (claiming our
influence). Addresses the fears we must overcome and the kinds of safety we
must sacrifice to gain clarity of vision and create an ideal world in each of our
    spheres of influence.

    • 1:15 - 2:15    BOX LUNCH - Stay to unpack all we've learned or grab and dash!

This Half Day Conference has been approved for 4.5 PDC from SHRM and 4.5 Business Credits from HRCI
